Spent too long on this, but the suit design was a labor of love. I did it without reference, even though I had it, because I was too lazy. The metroid was drawn and colored separately, then added. I wish I had better pics of Metroids for reference, but I couldn't find many drawings. Also, I did a slew (slough? sliu? wtf?) of Metroid dawings lately, so expect another upload or two.

pencil on paper, photoshop CS2, 4x6 wacom.

Also, as a side note, I'd really like to go to AFO [Anime Festival Orlando] at the end of this month, as I live pretty close to it, but I don't have an art table. If any of you are willing to share a table with me, I'd sacrifice my firstborn to have half of it. No seriously, we could work out a deal where I'd give you some money and/or prints and/or food. AIM me at hades1eye and we'll talk.

this is a marvelous painting of Samus. I love the suit design and the lighting on the suit, it's just amazing and full of detail. I like how you have the metroid behind her, it makes this look sort of ominous like it's lurking over her or something.

Although I do see one thing in here that i want to point out, but if you don't want me to point it out just say so and I'll leave it be.
