Here's that thing I tried to upload before.. if it's not obvious, I'm trying to be Jennadelle
pencil sketch on cardstock, colors w/ photoshop7 and mouse. Crits welcome
EDIT: yes, it does only have one wing, but I left it out because I'm lazy and I didn't know how to put it in without ruining the composition. (what composition? : P) And yes, the wing at the wrist is very thin and flimsy, but it's meant to be flightless.
And yet again, your colors mezmorize me. Man, you really should try practice on a tablet, it's annoying at first, but it gets better (I probably shouldn't be talking). Are those hairs comin' out of the horns on his head, or movement lines?
Seventh Circle (level) of Hell: Guarded by the Minotaur, who snarls in fury, and encircled within the river Phlegethon, filled with boiling blood, is the Seventh Level of Hell. The violent, the assasins, the tyrants, and the war-mongers lament their pitiless mischiefs in the river, while centaurs armed with bows and arrows shoot those who try to escape their punishment. The stench here is overpowering. This level is also home to the wood of the suicides- stunted and gnarled trees with twisting branches and poisoned fruit. At the time of final judgement, their bodies will hang from their branches. In those branches the Harpies, foul birdlike creatures with human faces, make their nests. Beyond the wood is scorching sand where those who committed violence against God and nature are showered with flakes of fire that rain down against their naked bodies. Blasphemers and sodomites writhe in pain, their tongues more loosed to lamentation, and out of their eyes gushes forth their woe. Usurers, who followed neither nature nor art, also share company in the Seventh Level.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
